Description:
CEDAR Fund is an independent Christian relief and development organisation founded in Hong Kong in 1991. CEDAR stands for Christian response to poverty through Education, Development, Advocacy and Relief programmes, aiming at living out the integral mission of the Church in partnership with Christians around the world to build a just and compassionate world in Christ.
Its missions are caring for the poor and disadvantaged people, facilitating the transformation of lives and communities as well as advocating and practicing social justice.
To make our students beware of the fact that urban dwellers can affect the life of the underprivileged populations socially, economically, environmentally and culturally, a member of the CEDAR Fund came to our school to teach teachers and students how to reduce the impacts of climate change on poor communities.
S1, S3-S5 students are attending the talk on Zoom while some representatives are listening to the presentation face-to-face at school. (Right) Mr Lai Ka-chun, our guest speaker, has brought us some leaflets to introduce the work of CEDAR Fund.
